My first totally original doll design!
These were made when the owner of a shop was looking for something small, inexpensive and totally washable for parents to give to children in isolation and intensive care wards of the childrens’ hospital.
Those which went to isolation wards usually had to be destroyed, so parents and grandparents were buying several so the child would still have one when they left the ward and another when they left the hospital.
About 6 inches tall.
Please note that the photo is as old as the design, scannned from the original printed photo. They really had a face, not the blank look you see here.
