Rather a sumptuous cover for an old scrap book full of quilting designs saved from magazines from 1985 to about 1990. The fabric is curtain fabric, the braid a gift from a friend.
That design on the left looks like it could be adapted for a whole cloth quilt. Or it could be appliqued as the centre for a medallion, or the whole cloth quilt could be coloured with pencils (using Helen Stubbing’s Colourque) or use Pam Holland‘s drapplique method (applique with added illustration with permanent markers and stitching).
When I saved this I only thought of the first option! Now, if I do any of these methods I will make up my own design anyway!
